Felldin, John, well know as "Jack", passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 15, 2011. Jack was a 30 year resident of Hermosa Beach. Born in San Francisco, CA on May 19, 1922, he moved to Los Angeles with his family as a teenager. Jack graduated from Belmont High School and served in the Navy in the South Pacific during WWII. He obtained an electrical engineering degree on the GI bill. Jack retired from the LA Department of Water and Power after 34 years. He met his former wife Jean in 1949 and raised 5 children, Eveleen, John, Carol, Karen, and Mary, in San Marino, California. He moved to Hermosa Beach in 1981. Jack loved playing golf and was very active at the Senior Center in Redondo Beach where he played bridge. Jack liked to walk on the strand to the Kettle restaurant where he was known by the staff and many other regulars of the restaurant. He was often heard to say: "It's another day in paradise". Jack is survived by his 5 children, 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and will be missed by family and many longtime friends.   2. We have known Jack for over 15 years as a bridge player, senior leader, and a friend. He will be sorely missed by anyone who values character, humor, kindness, and friendship is a person. Jack possesed all of these qualities and more, and the community is a bit poored with his passing.

  4. My family has know Jack for over 45 years as a neighbor and friend. We will always remember him for his enjoyable conversations and his positive personality. As we look across the street at Jack’s house we will always have fond memories of Jack. He will be missed.
