Le Resche, John Henry , Jack was born in Culver City, May 16, 1924 and passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2002 in Torrance. Jack had served in the army during World War II. He was a graduate of UCLA and a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He moved to Washington D.C. to pursue his career and left the Defense Intelligence Agency in 1965 to work for The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, retiring in 1991. He has been a Master Mason for more than fifty years. Jack was a Torrance resident for the past 37 years. He enjoyed this community and served it freely of his time to various city organizations, accepting appointments to the Planning commission, Airport Commission, Noise Abatement Committee and the Dow Advisory Group. He was active with friends of Madrona Marsh, Friends of Torrance Library, Boy Scout troop 996, Cub Scouts, PTA, various Homeowners Associations and Political Action Committees. Jack is survived by wife, Agnes of Torrance; Sons, Jared(Trish) of Centennial, CO, John(Ethel) of Nederland, CO; grandchildren, Kyle, Kathy, Kim, Cindy, James and Alex. Jack was preceded in death by a son, James. Visitation will be Friday 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at White and Day Colonial Mortuary, 901 Torrance Blvd., Redondo Beach. Services will be held Saturday, June 29th at 11:00 AM. at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 301 Ave. D, Redondo Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.
