John
Beloved husband, father and grandfather, John D'Alessandro, passed away unexpectedly at his home on February 4, 2009. John was so many things; kind, considerate, compassionate, devoted, honest and oh, so funny. Perhaps most of all, John was a man of character, who deeply loved his family. The number of lives John touched is too numerous to name. John was survived by Diane, his wife and best friend of 22 years, 8 children and 15 grandchildren. The Service will be held at Rice Chapel on Sunday, February 8, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. With a Reception to follow in Rice's Lighthouse Reception Room from 11:00 - 1:00 P.M.

  9. It was with great sadness to learn of John’s passing. I worked with John at LCM-San Pedro Hospital, he was a great friend and co-worker. We had a lot in common, since we were both Italian and our parents were from Bari. I loved him, though I only knew him a short time. I nick-named him Big Daddy because he reminded me so much of my own family. My thoughts and Prayers are with all of you. Sincerely, Grace Russo

  10. I will dearly miss “Dad” my loving father in law. He was so caring and kind,I always looked foreward to his company. He was a wonderful father and “Papa”. He left us all knowing we were charished and loved by him. We will always remember him fondly. Love, Eliza D’Alessandro

  13. There is nothing I can say at this time that will take away your saddness or grief. I can tell you that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this sad time.

  14. Jenesa, If I were a musician perhaps I could play a melody to ease your sadness. Or if I were a poet maybe I could find the words to speak peace to you. But I am neither of those so I€™ll give what I can€a prayer to our kind Father who takes our pain and sadness into Himself so we might endure it. And at some point He turns that sadness into pleasant memories that warm our hearts.

  15. Jenesa may your memories and thoughts of time shared with your father bring you peace and contentment during this time and always. Remember it€™s what we leave behind that keep our spirit alive in the hearts of others. Peace be with you and your family. I offer my condolences and prayers. Virgie ~

  16. Jenesa, My thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time -may peace and comfort surround you.
