Crawford, John Scott, - It is with great sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of John Crawford on Thursday, May 3, 2007, a 33 year resident of Torrance. Born on Feb. 24, 1957 in Inglewood, CA he was 50 when he passed. John was part owner of Automatic Welding Co., in Gardena, CA. and very passionate about Dune Buggies, classic cars, motorcycles, & jet skiing. His favorite vacation spot was the Sacramento Delta where he vacationed every summer with his family & friends. John was not ordinary; he was an extraordinary man, lived life to the fullest with NO regrets. He was a loving husband to his wife Barbara and the most wonderful father to his daughters Jennifer and Amie that anyone could have asked for. John was very involved with his daughters in the North Torrance Girls Softball League in Torrance, CA. He was committed to being a coach, Softball league board member and in charge of the field maintenance. He had an everlasting love for softball and took great pleasure watching his daughters play the game. John touched so many people's hearts with his kindness and generosity. He is survived by Wife, Barbara Crawford, Daughters, Jennifer (14) & Amie (8), Mother, Donna Crawford of Torrance, CA, Brother, Bob (Renae) Crawford of Sacramento, CA, Craig (Amanda) Crawford of Lawndale, CA, Sister, Karen (Brian) Ragsdale, and Brother, Paul Crawford of Torrance, CA. Preceded in death by Father, Gerald Crawford. The Memorial Mass will be held at St. Catherine Laboure Church on Monday, May 14, 2007 at 12:00 P.M. A reception will follow at Torrance Elks Lodge. Inurnment will be private.

  2. Barbara, Jennifer and Amie, John will always be in our hearts and memories. Watching him interact with the three of you I saw what a loving husband and father he was. He was always there to help our Brownie and Girl Scout troop on our little camp outs. He will be missed by all. Love, Jeanette and Keila
