John A. Czuleger, a long time resident of Redondo Beach, passed away on the 14th of March after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of fifty seven years, Helen, his five children, J. Stephen Czuleger, Meriam Wilhelm, Joan Summers, Karen Strgacich and Sharon Fistonich, twelve grandchildren and six brothers and sisters. John, the second child of Charles and Olive Czuleger, graduated from St. James Elementary School, Loyola High School and Loyola University, Los Angeles. During World War II, John was a gunnery sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps before joining his father in running the Redondo Trading Post. An active member of St. Lawrence Martyr parish, John served as an usher each week at 8:30 AM mass. John will be greatly missed by his family and friends and remembered for his positive spirit. Funeral services will be held March 18th at 10:00AM at St. Lawrence Martyr Church. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City.
