Brey, Jo Ellen a 59 year resident of Redondo Beach , passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2001 in Torrance. Born in Boone, IA, she was 63 when she died. She is survived by Husband, John Brey of Redondo Beach, CA, Daughter, Leisa (Todd) DenBeste of Oakhurst, CA, Sons, John Brey of Redondo Beach, CA, and Stephen (Jennifer) Brey of Torrance, CA, Sisters, Carol (Jack) Blankers of Santa Clarita, CA, and Arlis Gordon of Torrance, CA, Granddaughter, Melissa DenBeste of Oakhurst, CA, Grandsons, Alexander Brey of Torrance, CA, Christopher Brey of Torrance, CA, Justin DenBeste of Oakhurst, CA, as well as many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 1, 2001 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the White and Day Colonial Chapel. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 2, 2001 at 1:00 PM at the White and Day Colonial Chapel. Burial will follow at Pacific Crest Cemetery in Redondo Beach.

I am so sorry to hear about Jo\’s passing. I remember her best as a beautiful girl with long golden hair. I photographed her when she was about 10 yrs. old and those were my favorite pictures of Jo. I will send some to the family. Derald Hoffman, cousin.

JoEllen, my gramma, I will never forget you. The memories I am going to miss the most of is the days I would attend work with you. You would try to cut your days short when I was visiting so we could get in enough shopping time before Grampa got home so I could see him too on my vacation. Or when you would take Juatin and I to the beach so we could play in the ocean. You were probably bored out of your mind while we played. I would trade anything in the world to see you agaun. I LOVE YOU!!!
Mom, oh how I wish you were still here with us. You were truly my best friend. I miss you dearly. You would be so proud of Justin and Melissa. They both have beautiful families. You would have been over the moon happy with your five Great-Grandchildren. They would have loved you dearly. I’ll Love You and miss you always.
