Veta, James of Torrance passed away November 25, 2003. He was born November 19, 1920 in Casalvieri, Italy and lived in Detroit, MI from 1927 to 1962 when he moved to California. Jim served his country honorably during WWII. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Angelo & Philomena and his son Michael Anthony Veta. Survived by his wife, Norma Jean, son, James Vincent (Janine) Veta. Brother to Olga (Frank) Wiecek and Leonora Catallo. Predeceased in-laws are Ernest(Amelia) Valentino, Paul Gene (Connie) Valentino and Robert Gaines. Brother-in Law to Dolores Gaines. Uncle to the Valentino, Gaines, Catallo and Hand children. Grandfather to Jacquelyn, Jeffrey, and Johnathon Veta. Visitation will begin at 4:00 pm Friday, November 28, 2003 at the White & Day Colonial Mortuary in Redondo Beach, CA. (310-379-2446) Vigil services will be at 7:00 pm Friday evening at the Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Saturday, November 29, 2003 at the Holy Cross Mausoleum Chapel in Culver City.
