Jill Haruko Sakaguchi of Torrance, California, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 after a year-long battle with cancer. Jill was born on May 7, 1979 in Torrance, California to parents Stephen and Sue. Jill is survived by her mother, eight siblings (Gayle, Brian, Noelle (Jeff), Derek (Allison), Leslie (Stewart), Joy, Mary (Joe), and Jackie) and seven nieces and nephews (Chase, Kelsey, Cassidy, Ellie, Chloe, Gavin, and Jordyn).
Jill was an artist (painting, pottery, building things) and an avid fisher. She was fond of animals, dogs and monkeys in particular, enjoyed creating impossible cakes with her pastry chef sister, Joy, and believed in the magic of Disney. Her life passions were music, making others laugh, warm fuzzy blankets, and especially her little sister and her nieces and nephews. Jill was a veterinary technician and later, a Registered Nurse working at Little Company of Mary Hospital, AOU department. She cared about and for everyone she met and will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.
Memorial service to be held on February 14, 2015 at 2 pm at Rice Mortuary in Torrance and reception to follow.

Jill…I know your Dad, Grandma, and my brother welcomed you with the same kind of love that you shared with all of us. Now, you are all flying with angels and waiting patiently for the rest of us because it is through our faith that we know one day, we will all be together again. Until then, we will miss you and love you more each day.
