Born in Nancy, France, to Vladimir Danilovitch Tarassoff, and Germaine Marie Guidat. Mother blossomed into a beautiful young woman gifted with talents in singing, dancing, humor, and the ability to lift the spirits of family and friends. Mother and her family endured and survived WWII, and assisted in the escape of innocent villagers. Mother was a talented ballerina who traveled to the United States to perform and stayed to attend Louisiana State University. During this time she met and married our dad, an Air Force pilot (John Wise). After raising four children and enjoying the blessings of eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, mother moved from Redondo Beach, California, to Arizona in 1996, to begin the final chapter of her life. Mom gifted her family and friends with legacies of faith in God, endurance through a ten year journey with ovarian cancer, the strength to remain focused on the good in life, and the courage to stand up to cancer and it's persistent pain. The angels at RTA Hospice in Payson were very instrumental in allowing mom to fulfill her mission here on earth. Mom's final days were a reflection of God's suffering and His forgiveness for the sins and misdeeds of humanity. Mom's departure preceded Pope John Paul II by just a few hours and on the same day. The glorious celebration in heaven that will ensue has temporarily softened the very deep sadness that we feel today. ...Nancy Wise & family Services: April 14, '05 at St. Philip's Catholic Church, Payson, Arizona @ 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow.
