James Robert St. Clair, a long time resident of the South Bay, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at home with family and loved ones by his side. Born in Cincinnati, OH, James was 86 when he died. James had served in the Navy during WWII. Since 1994 he was associated with the Country Meadows Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Peoria, AZ. He loved his family name. He loved to be needed and to care for the needs of others. He loved sports especially golf. He couldn't pass a golf course without looking it over and seeing if he could find any golf balls to add to his collection. James liked music and had quite a collection of old records that he enjoyed. He loved the peace and quiet of the desert, and most of all he loved to make people laugh. James is survived by his son, James St. Clair of Hawthorne, CA; daughter, Marilynn (Carlos) Cobb of Palmdale, CA; son Ron (Wanda) St. Clair of Hawthorne, CA; 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Doris St. Clair; parents, Maude and Walter St. Clair; son Daniel St. Clair; grandson James Hunziker; granddaughter, Nona Hunziker; one sister and 3 brothers. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the White and Day Mortuary, 3215 N. Sepulveda Blvd., Manhattan Beach on Friday March 23, 2012 from 5 to 9 P.M. The Memorial Service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. 2102 Aviation Way, Redondo Beach on Saturday March 24, 2012 at 3:00 P.M.
