James Richard Eighmey an admirable husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2003 surrounded by loved ones. Born in Hudson, Iowa, on April 12, 1916 Jim was 86. Jim touched many lives in each aspect of his life. After attending the University of Iowa, he married the love of his life Jane Lucille Kistner Eighmey and shared a marriage of 63 years. Jim worked as an Airline Executive for American Airlines for 30 years. Both Jim and Jane enjoyed traveling around the world together. James was a member of Riviera United Methodist Church and SKAL International Vanguards. He is survived by wife, Jane Eighmey of Redondo Beach; daughter, Sharon (George) Olsen of Fountain Valley; grandchildren, Kevin Olsen and Kristen Braccia and great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Kevin and Madeline Olsen. In memory of James Eighmey a Memorial service celebrating Jim's life will be held Wednesday, March 12th at 2:00pm at Riviera United Methodist Church.
