James Rogers was born June 2, 1932 to
Effie Sybling and Bailey Rogers.
Their union brought together 17 children.
His parents preceded him in death.
James Rogers was born in Sweetport, Louisiana.
He met beautiful Mary Alice Calloway in Alabama.
From this union 3 children were born – James Sr., Adrian & Iona. He shared a special relationship with all of his children.
His life evolved around construction, He opened several night clubs in the early 50 to late 60s. He then began his own company naming it Moon Man Asphalt and Seal Coating.
He named his business after his night clubs.
Beginning his own company was very slow at first.
Years went by then he got contracts from companies since as 711, IHOP (International House of Pancakes), the United States Post Office, Chuck E. Cheese and Denny's.
He also did many local businesses such as Astro ??? Stores, Andy's Donuts, gas stations, churches, cleaners, car washes, banks
and many people's homes.
James Rogers and his brothers and sisters were preceded in death by his wife Mary Alice Rogers.
He leaves to cherish his memory James Sr., Adrian and Iona,
a very very special friend Betty Harris,
2 grand children, Show'n Rogers and Adrian Rogers
and great grand children.
