Jim was born on August 18, 1969 in Los Angeles, California to Don and Sandra Wiegandt. Jim graduated from Los Gatos High School in California, a scholar athlete competing in cross country and track. After high school, Jim attended college at Michigan State University where he continued his athletic career running as a Spartan. Jim transferred to San Diego State University in his sophomore year and continued running as an athlete representing the Aztecs. Jim met and maintained close friendships with many of his fellow collegiates. After college, Jim spent the next 30 years employed in banking and finance, successfully building a vast network of friends, clients and colleagues throughout his career. Jim was especially successful in empowering others in his professional circles to be their best selves while continuing to thrive in their chosen marketplace. Jim was loved and respected by so many colleagues who had, over the years taken the time to express their gratitude for the guidance he gave them individually. Fellow colleagues describe Jim as warm with a great sense of humor and above all, a team player. Jim was an employee that not only gave of himself tirelessly to his clients and fellow coworkers professionally, but always guided them to do the right things for the right reasons; he was known as a man of integrity and hustle. Jim met the love of his life and best friend, Stacey Anne Vance while living in San Francisco and they were married in 1998. In 2001 Jim and Stacey welcomed their beloved son, Joshua Logan into the world and their family began. They spent the next 20 years living in the greater Sacramento area. As a family, golf became their passion that they enjoyed together frequently. Their favorite golfing locales included Bandon Dunes and Palm Desert and locally, their home course of Catta Verdera, in Lincoln, CA; where they resided since 2004. In their neighborhood of Catta Verdera, they created wonderful friendships that became family. Jim passed away unexpectedly on March 12, 2020. He is survived by his loving wife, Stacey; and their devoted son Josh. Jim is also survived by his sister, Jan (Wiegandt) Ewing, brother-in-law Jeffrey, and nephew Michael. Additionally, Jim is survived by extended family originating from Ohio. Jim had many close friends that were his chosen family and he will be greatly missed by all. Due to already having to reschedule Jim's Memorial and Celebration of Life, the family felt it was best to schedule the service at a much further date that would hopefully be well beyond our current socialization restrictions. Celebration of Life scheduled for Tuesday, August 11th at 2:00pm at Catta Verdera Country Club, 1111 Catta Verdera, Lincoln, CA. 95648

    Rest in Peace Jimmy.

  6. Jim invited me into his family, to share Christmas and Easter‘s and many other wonderful days together. I was there when Josh was just a few months old. This is shocked me so hard and I’m so sad because I lost a friend, Jim had the greatest personality…A dry sense of humor and boy does he like to have fun and that was so cool. I always admired his ability to make friends and relationships I learned a lot from Jim I’m going to miss him. I love you Stacey and Josh, I wish the best for you both so much love.

  7. Many of the Catta Verdera family are devastated by Jim’s sudden passing. He truly was instrumental in the growing of Catta Verdera Country Club. He was “the guy!” The one that brought everyone together in a start up club. We missed him when the family moved and we will continue to miss Jim but happy we continue to have Stacey and Josh as our extended family.
Stacey and Josh we will always be here for you as your extended family!
    Thoughts and prayers always!!
