James Aguilar

James (Jimmy) Aguilar A 51-year resident of Redondo Beach, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2014, in Torrance, CA. Born in the small town of San Juan De Amula, Jalisco, Mexico, Jimmy was 60 years young. Jimmy attended Aviation High School, and if you truly know Jimmy, he ended up graduating from Pacific Shores High School. Jimmy had worked as a pipe fitter at the local refineries where he learned to become a welder. He became so efficient at welding that he was a sought after welder, for the refineries high pressure pipe lines. From the refineries he began a career with NOVA Group Inc. which does construction for military bases, as a crane operator. Once again he excelled at his trade and would always brag how he would be requested for major construction lifts, over the senior crane operators. He just had that ability to excel at any trade that was hands on over the classroom learning environment. Something you may not have known about Jimmy, was that he loved photography. He loved to capture the moment, be it a celebration or just his daughters playing at the park, he was always taking pictures. Jimmy loved being outdoors, either camping in the local mountains, fishing at the area lakes, going out on a half day fishing boat or gathering with friends for a picnic and flying kites. He was just not meant to be kept inside. Jimmy loved to have people around all the time. For Jimmy life was a constant party, a celebration and if you could not afford it, that was ok, it was usually on him anyway. Jimmy has a strong faith in our Lord and attended Redeemed South Bay regularly and I say HAS, because he is not dead as we know it. He is alive and well with our Lord and Savior who has set a place for him next to our parents. Jimmy is survived by his daughters Veronica Aguilar of North Fork, CA; Angelina Aguilar of Torrance, CA; his brother Ernie (Lourdes) Aguilar of Ensenada, MX; sisters Irma (George) Aguilar Bougeokles of Corona, CA; Abbey (Brian) Aguilar Lucas of San Simeon, CA; brothers, George Morgan of San Jose, CA; Michael (Geneinne) Morgan of Torrance, CA; Roger Morgan of Torrance, CA; and three grandchildren: Waylon, Kyah, and Owen. He was preceded in death by his father, Ben Morgan and mother, Maria Morgan. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Rice Mortuary in Torrance on Thursday July 10, 2014 from 5 to 6pm with the Service at 6pm. The Celebration of Jimmy's Life will continue in the Lighthouse Reception Room until 9pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your church in memoriam of Jimmy, for he sought their help and received it.

  1. My dad was a strong man , he taught me everything that I know to this day . I can’t thank him enough for everything that he has done for me and it’s just hard to think that he is no longer here with us. He was in a lot of pain and he was a strong fighter! He didn’t deserve to be in the pain that he was in. He is now in heaven looking over his loved ones and he is no longer in pain but he is now with God. Dad I want you to know that we all love and miss you and we will never ever forget you! I love you and miss you so much that words can not explain! I will remember that it is not goodbye but it is see you later. Your in a better place than all of us on earth are right now. There are going to be times where I really need you and your not going to be here but you will be guiding me the right way. Your gone but you will never be forgotten and I look forward to one day seeing you again! I love and miss you. Thank you for everything. Rest in paradise dad.

  2. Almost 6 years later, coming back to this cause this is really one of those times where I could use your comfort right now. I love and miss you more each day, I hope you’re loving it up there…
