Irvin
Irvin Lamar Howard, Sr. was born January 13, 1947 in Alcoa, Tennessee. Irvin was the third of four children born to Zelmore and Bernice Howard. Irvin was educated in Tennessee, graduating from Charles M. Hall High School. After graduating Irvin attended Kentucky State Vocational School in Paducah, Kentucky, then went on to Tennessee College of Automation in Knoxville, Tennessee. Irvin spent his youthful years in Alcoa; he accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. While in Alcoa he fell in love and married his childhood sweetheart Cynthia Nunn, and from this union Felicia, their lovely daughter was born. In 1969 Irvin moved his family to Los Angeles, California, and it was here that his son Irvin Jr. was born. Irvin was employed at Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, California and was a computer operator in charge. He was rewarded for successfully setting up computer systems for the military in Northern California; he stayed employed at Aerospace for 30 years until his retirement in 2000. Irvin later met and married Linda Domino and from this union another lovely daughter Meagan Howard was born. Irvin enjoyed traveling, watching sports, and spending time with his family and friends. He had a very outgoing personality, which was what attracted him to Tina Steed when they met in June of 1996 while he was visiting in Alcoa, Tennessee. They were married one year later on July 12, 1997. On Sunday, March 13, 2011, Irvin departed this life surrounded by family and friends after a long battle with Cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents Zelmore and Bernice Howard; sister, Margaret Eleanor Howard and father-in-law Thomas H. Steed. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 14 years Tina Steed-Howard of Inglewood, CA; son Irvin Howard Jr. (Jennifer) of Bellflower, California; daughters Felicia Whitfield (Brock) of Norwalk, California; and Meagan Howard of Houston, Texas; brothers Reverend Benjamin Z.
