Ingeborg (Anne) Moore November 22, 1923 - September 2, 2009 Born in Bergen , Norway , Ingeborg was the daughter of John and Klara Kvamme. The family immigrated to the United States when Ingeborg was three years old. The port of entry was Ellis Island , New York , and they travelled by train across the country, settling in Montesano , Washington . Ingeborg became a registered nurse in 1944 after training at the Tacoma General Hospital . She then joined the U.S. Army Nurses Corp and was on active duty until 1947. In 1948, she received both her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and Certificate in Public Health Nursing. She held many part time nursing positions while her children were young. While living in Palos Verdes she was a school nurse at Leland Street School and Hawaiian Avenue School . She was a dedicated nurse for 22 years in Veterans Administration Hospitals in Northport New York , Bay Pines in St. Petersburg with the majority of years at served at the Long Beach facility. She was recognized by the Department of Veterans Affairs for over 50 years of dedicated service to the nursing profession Ingeborg and Gale, her beloved husband of 61 years, met while attending the University of Washington and were married a week after her graduation on August 21, 1948. They have four children: Douglas, Sharon, Barry, and David and settled in Palos Verdes in 1961. She is also survived by her husband Gale, the four children, two sisters, Ruth and Janet and two grandchildren, Anne and Emma. Ingeborg was a member of the Silver Spur Garden Club and passed away at home near her favorite roses. Services for Ingeborg will be held at Rolling Hills United Methodist Church at 11am, September 12th. The address is 26438 Crenshaw Blvd. Graveside service will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park on 27501 South Western Ave , Rancho Palos Verdes .
