On February 17, 1953 Hosea Winslow Jones was born to Hosea and Dorothy Jones in Los Angeles, California. He was the third child and he received Christ at an early age. He was educated in Los Angeles District Schools and he graduated from Freemont High School. His interests were in Science and Nature. He was also active in tennis. Later Hosea graduated from Bartending School and Culinary Arts School. Hosea loved to cook and at times would cook for the neighbors. He was none by some as the "BBQ Baron". He would buy all kinds of kitchen gadgets and make unique recipes. Hosea only worked at two places his entire life. He first worked for the Ducoma Meadows Company for nine years. Then he was one of the first employees to work for the Westin Bonaventure Hotel. This year Hosea celebrated 34 years of employment. Through the years he worked in housekeeping, security and receiving. He was continuously recognized for his good work. He lived with his twin sisters Janice and Anice of whom he would cater to. Hosea loved his family and he enjoyed shopping for his nieces and nephews to make their holidays special. On March 30, 2010 Hosea went home to be with the Lord. He will be greatly missed. Preceding him in death is his mother, father, and niece Angela Lewis. He leaves to mourn, his sisters Janice Lovely and Anice Rasberry Compton, Ca., nephew Richard Florence (wife) Lashawn Norwalk Ca., great nieces Monique and Camille, Nephew Blake, and a host of cousins, co-workers and friends. Hosea loved his family and friends.
