Hortencia Olmos, a 32 year resident of Gardena, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 in Harbor City, CA. Born in Camargo, Chihuahua, Mexico, Hortencia was 82. She possessed a great faith and touched the life of everyone she met. Hortencia is survived by her son, Javier Olmos of Gardena and her daughter, Maria Wagner of Anaheim. A gathering of family and friends will be held at McMillan & McCormick Mortuary in Gardena on Sunday, October 31, 2010 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm with the Vigil beginning at 6:30pm. The Mass will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Church on Monday, November 1, 2010, at 10:00am with a burial at Holy Cross Cemetery. A reception will be held in the McMillan & McCormick Lighthouse Reception room from 1:30pm to 3:30pm.

  1. My Dearest Maria & Javier & Family, I was deeply sadden when your mother passed away. Your mother had a kind and gentle soul. I especially loved how she prayed to Jesus & Mary. I know how difficult it has been for you all. You are in my thoughts an prayers. I had so much fun scrapbooking with your mother and I will never forget it. 🙂 I know how you both are going to miss your mother & Joey your grandmother. I love the video you had made. Its beautiful and well put together. I cried and cried. Your mother is proud of you both. She is in perfect health right now. She is looking down at you all with great love.
