Steddom, Henry, a 45 year resident of Rancho Palos Verdes, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2006 in Herald, California. Born in South Dakota, Henry was 84 when he died. Henry had served in the US Navy during World War II. Henry was a member of Harding Masonic Lodge in Mason City Iowa for 50 years. He was always interested in intellectual pursuits and enjoyed participating in Omnilore, did crossword puzzles in ink, enjoyed travelling around the world---especially Greece, and studied ancient history, particularly about Greece and Rome. He spent years researching the family geneology, was active with the Peninsula Seniors, and Peninsula Friends of the Library. He is survived by his Daughter, Barbara Jamieson and her husband Donald, Son, Henry Steddom III, grandchildren Carl Brush and his wife Gloria, Angela Brush, and Lauren Jamieson, and many other loving family members. Henry is predeceased by his wife Dorothy, sister Laura Ady, and friend Helen Law. A gathering of family & friends will be held on Friday, July 7, 2006 at White & Day Colonial Mortuary in Redondo Beach from 10-11am. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park in Ontario, CA.
