Harriet
Harriet Anne Nelson Tulloss, 54, of Manhattan Beach, passed away suddenly on Sunday, December 14, 2003. Harriet was born May 7, 1949 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada to the late Kendall Evans Nelson and Alison White (Nelson) Jett and resided in Thousand Oaks until recently. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter and friend. She enjoyed 33 happy years of marriage to her husband Bill. She considered her unending dedication to her children and family her most important life's work. She enjoyed traveling and exploring new places, especially trips with her husband. She was a strong and persevering woman, even in the face of adversity. A bright future ahead of her, she left her family with the inspiration to achieve great things, and focus on the values of independence, fortitude and love. She was a graduate of California State University, Los Angeles and was employed by Pleasant Holidays in Westlake, CA. She had also worked as a teacher and trained as a family counselor. Harriet is survived by her husband, William Brice Tulloss, Jr. of Manhattan Beach; son, Gregory Brice Stewart Tulloss of Rohnert Park; daughter, Valerie Paige (Tulloss) Goyer and husband, Jeffrey R. Goyer of Fullerton; and mother, Alison Jett of Manhattan Beach., and Helen Stringer of Torrance (aunt), William White and Richard White (uncles) in Canada, and Shirley Tulloss, mother-in-law, Monrovia, Calif. A memorial tribute will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2003 at Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, 588 Camino Manzanas, Thousand Oaks. Pastor Dana Shaw will be presiding. A private internment will take place with the family Arrangements by White & Day Mortuary, Manhattan Beach.

  1. Dear Bill, I was shocked and saddened to learn of Harriet\’s passing. She was my sorority sister from El Camino and although we had lost touch through the years I had fond memories of her and you. Can\’t believe Valerie is married. I believe you worked with my step-brother Larry Stokes at one point. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. If you ever need anything please let me know, since you are now so close living in Manhattan Beach. Would love to share memories with you after the first of the year….
