Guadalupe "Lupe" Trevino, a 74 year resident of Redondo Beach, passed away at home on Saturday, March 20, 2010, surrounded by her seven children. Born in Salina, Kansas, Lupe was 77 when she died. She was a devoted member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hermosa Beach since its establishment. Lupe was an incredible woman of faith; she was loving, kind, humble, and selfless to the very end. Family gatherings, world travels, and following local sports were a few of her favorite past times. Although Lupe was widowed very young, she remained strong and was a determined fighter who dedicated her entire life to family - leaving a legacy of compassion for others. Lupe was daughter of the late Vicente and Anna Arias; adored wife of the late Robert M. Trevino;loving sister to Erma Vargas (Senaido) and Annie Gil (Alfredo);the late Richard Arias; beloved mother of son, Robert "Bobby" Trevino, and daughters Debi Leach (Doug), Gloria Johnson (Scott), Irene Bronner (Dan), Theresa Hardesty (Tom), Loreen Trevino-Okata (Stuart), and Michele Toddun (Wayne); grandchildren: Corey Molinelli, Tommy Molinelli, Desiree Dively, Allison Hardesty, Drew Hardesty, Kyle Leach, Evan Bronner, Michelle Leach, Luke Hardesty, Matthew Toddun, Jessica Toddun, Kiri Toddun; and great grandchildren: Emma Dively, and Luke Dively.; and proud great-grandmother of 2, many nieces and nephews, and countless friends. She was much loved and will be dearly missed. The Rosary will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hermosa Beach on Monday March 29, 2010 at 7pm. The Funeral Celebration Mass will be held at the Church on Tuesday March 30 at 10am, with a Reception to celebrate her life, at the Hotel Portofino in Redondo Beach, following the burial which will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City.   1. Michele your mom always made me laugh just like you. She was such a beautiful lady and had such a warm and loving heart. You can see that she has passed on her caring and loving traits to her family. You all were so lucky to have a wonderful mother who loved you all and your friends so much. I want to thank her for making me and Carlos feel so special everytime we saw her. May God bless your family with lots of love and peace through this difficult time. The memories of her life, her smile and legacy will live on forever.

To Lupe`s family…I am so sorry to hear about your mother`s passing..I have known her since I was ten year`s old.introduced her to my cousin .your fatherBobby..at a dance in Redondo Bch.Just know that she is now reuntied with your father and they are in God`s loving arms.Irene I am sure you remember me..as you came back here to Florida with me in that motor home.. Having said that..I will hold all of you in my prayers.

  3. Teresa, Anytime I would see your mom over the years (from Kingergarten all the way up to watching our own kids play sports in high school), she was always as friendly and warm as could be. She was always so incredibly patient and sweet every single day!! I never knew how she did that. She was an amazing women and it really shows in the family she raised. Hi my mom was Julia Bear and Bobby your dad was her first cousin…Mona Martin is my 2nd cousin…I remember Lupe as a very sweet and loving person…I know what you are going through since my mom passed in 2006 you may look her up under last name “CORREA” God be with you and remember she is now with your dad and her mother in-law my moms aunt NELLIE.
