Gregory
Scheibach, Gregory Robert, a 36-year resident of Redondo Beach, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2003, in Torrance. Born in Chicago, Illinois, July 20, 1940, he grew up in Des Plaines, IL. Greg was 63. He worked as a precision machinist for 40 years, was an avid outdoorsman and a steadfast defender of fishermen's rights to fish the islands off of Southern California. He is survived by his beloved wife, Annette Scheibach of Redondo Beach, dear sister-in-law, Thea (Chuck) Nevatt of Moreno Valley, his niece, Lesley Nevatt, his nephews, Ted, Tory, Damon (Lynn), Mark (Darci), and Trevor (Trish) Nevatt, and his stepmother, Agnes Scheibach of Reedsburg, WI. Greg was predeceased by his father and mother, Robert Joseph and Georgia Mulroney Scheibach, his sister, Lynn, and his brother, Don. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 2, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at White and Day Colonial Mortuary, 901 Torrance Blvd. in Redondo Beach. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 3, at 11 a.m., in the Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow with a procession along the coast ending at Pacific Crest Cemetery in Redondo Beach.
