Georgia Adis Tricas May 9, 1927 – June 18, 2015 Georgia Tricas, 88, passed away on Thursday June 18, 2015 in Torrance, CA in the comfort of her own home. She was surrounded by loved ones including her faithful husband of 62 years, Manuel John Tricas. She was born in Highland Park, Michigan to a family of Greek immigrants and moved to Redondo Beach at 11 years old in 1938. Their lives always included strong family bonds with grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles and cousins. She attended Redondo Union High School where she was a cheerleader with her cousin and classmates with her other cousins. She graduated from high school in 1945. She worked at Nash Calvinator and Hughes Aircraft and married Manuel John Tricas on June 21, 1953. They moved to Torrance in 1957 from Redondo Beach with daughters Mary and Grace. Georgia was a wonderful homemaker, loving wife and mother. She was full of life, loved her ceramic work, oil painting and stained glass projects. We all admired her talent. She is survived by her husband, Manuel Tricas; two daughters, Mary (Don) Young and Grace (Jim) Wilson; three grandchildren, Christina (Andy) Gill, Elizabeth Wilson and Rebekah (Bert) Eikum; and great grandchildren Aiden and Liam Gill, Gwen and Simon Eikum. The church service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday July 22 at St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church followed by a reception until 1:00 pm. Georgia will be laid to rest at Green Hills Memorial Park.
