George Lymon April 23, 1942 – March 29, 2011 George passed away at his home on March 29, 2011 with his daughters Melissa, Yvonne, Vianney, Jasmine and Karen by his side, after a seven month battle with brain cancer. He was born in Fort Collins, Colorado but came to Los Angeles with his family as a young boy. He served in the US Army overseas from April 1964 to April 1966 with honorable discharge. George worked as an engineer for Rockwell International for many years and also a meat cutter for Safeway and Boy’s market. He loved to read any science fiction related to life on other planets. He leaves behind three sons-in law; six grandchildren; five sisters; a brother and many relatives that loved him. He was a wonderful father, brother, uncle and friend who will forever be missed. The Memorial Mass will be held at St. Catherine Laboure Church on Friday, April 8, 2011 at 10:00 am. A reception in St. Catherine Laboure Hall will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation honoring George Lymon to the City of Hope to aid in the ongoing search to find a cure for cancer.
