George Fleming, a 40 year resident of Huntington Beach, passed away on Tuesday April 10, 2007. Born in Mousik, PA, George was 83 when he died. George had served in the Marine Corp. during World War 2. He just recently received a Purple Heart earned 60 years earlier. He enjoyed a very busy social life in his retirement years. He was a member of the 4th Marine Division association, where he attended monthly meetings and luncheons. He loved playing the California lottery, going to the dog park with Thelma and Ironwood. George is survived by Son, Frank (Helen) Fleming of Prescott, AZ. Daughter Louise (Don) Webster of Queen Creek AZ. Grandchildren, Theresa (Bill) Beck of Mesa, AZ. Tracy (John) Heck of Queen Creek, AZ. Jon Rubi of Lancaster, CA. Great Grandchildren, Tyler Gillispie, William Beck, Sabrina Beck and James Beck. Also his loving companion Thelma Vespia and her family. He was preceded in Death by his wife Maxine, and Great Granddaughter Vikki Waites. Services will be held Monday April 16, 2007 at White and Day Mortuary Colonial Redondo Beach . Viewing from 9:00 -11:00 AM with service immediately following. Burial will follow at Pacific Crest Cemetery Redondo Beach. In lieu of flowers the family request's donation be made to Greyhound Rescue 11330 Markon Dr. Garden Grove, CA 92841 a causes dear to George's heart.
