Gayle B. Schoonover passed away on October 19, 2008 in Torrance, CA. He was born November 19, 1929 in Los Angeles, CA. He lived his whole life in Los Angeles and the South Bay. He was a graduate of Fremont High School. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad and was a warehouseman for over forty years. He like to travel, and in later years enjoyed going to Laughlin, NV with the Lawndale Travel Club. He loved football, basketball, and horse racing. He will be missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Elizabeth, his daughter Erin, his brother Dell, three sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. The viewing is on Thursday, October 23, 2008 from 4:00-8:00pm. The service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, October 24, 2008, The viewing and the service will be at the White and Day Chapel in Redondo Beach.
