Gary Edward Yardumian Fondly called, "Yardo" by his friends, Gary Yardumian went home to be with the Lord on December 25, 2007. Gary was born to Claire Beltis Yardumian and Louis Haig Yardumian on August 18, 1961. He was the mild-mannered middle child and he is survived by his older brother, Andrew Louis Yardumian of Fresno, and his younger sister, Linda Marie Yardumian of Laguna Beach (Quack!). Gary graduated from Palos Verdes High School in 1979, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 1984 and Southwestern University School of Law in 1987. He was admitted to the California State Bar that same year and became an associate at the law firm of Shield & Smith. In 1994, Gary became a partner in the law firm of Prindle, Decker & Amaro of Long Beach where he practiced law until his death. He was passionate about his work, was dedicated to his clients and was committed to his partners and firm. Gary leaves behind his wife of twenty years, Valerie Swope Yardumian, and his three most cherished children; Garrett (18), Casey (16) and Lauren (14). They were his pride and joy; a constant source of happiness. His family is comforted by the knowledge that Gary is home with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and that he was welcomed into Heaven by God the Father with a pat on the back and the words, "Well done my good and faithful servant". A memorial service will be held at Rolling Hills Covenant Church located at 2222 Palos Verdes Drive North, Rolling Hills, on Monday, January 7, 2008 at 4 pm. Donations can be made in Gary’s honor to Trinity Care Hospice Foundation, 2601 Airport Drive, Suite 230, Torrance, California 90505 or to the Yardumian Family Trust.
