Gary
O'Leary, Gary A., a life-long resident of the South Bay, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2011 in the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Gary was 67 when he died. He had served in the Army as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division. Gary grew up in San Pedro, and later worked at the California Water Service Company in Palos Verdes for over 40 years. He belonged to the Torrance Rod & Gun Club for over 35 years. Gary was an avid fisher, hunter, and camper, who had a great love for classic cars and do-wop music. Gary is survived by his wife of 28 years, Jeanette O'Leary and son, Sean; father-in-law Vito L. Murgolo; children from his first marriage, Brian and Kristin O'Leary; four grandchildren: Jonathon, Lyndsey, Vincent, and Kyla; and his siblings Randall (Pam) Rodgers of Stonewall, LA and Pam Eaton of Benton, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents, Geraldine and Robert O'Leary. The Memorial Service was held at Rice Mortuary on October 30, 2011. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Foundation at pancreaticcancerfoundation.com/donate.

  1. Gary was a pleasure to be with and made every outing fun. We have so many wonderful memories fishing in the Sierra’s and surf fishing off Pv; hunting dove and pheasant and shooting sporting clays and skeet. We join the ranks of those who miss Gary.
