Frank Joseph Mattingly, born July 22, 1913 in Louisville, Kentucky, passed away in San Pedro on October 25th of Parkinson's disease.
A teacher at Marquette in Milwaukee for six years before heading to California, he later rose to head the math department at Belmont High. For over 30 years he taught and tutored students on the Palos Verdes Peninsula.
Mr. Mattingly is survived by his wife, Mary, his sons, Peter, Jim, Mike and John, his daughter, Mariane and a sister in Irvine as well as other relatives and in-laws in Wisconsin and North Carolina.
Mr. & Mrs. Mattingly were members of the married couples group at Holy Trinity for over 20 years.
