  4. On behalf of my family, I would like to welcome each one of you in celebrating our mom€™s life. My name is Richard Hernandez, the fourth child of Frances Hernandez, and the third Son. Mom didn€™t always have the finer things in life, but she had a family that loved her very much no matter what hard times brought our way. Mom had to be mother & Father to us for a long time, and things got rough at times, but her belief in God got our family through those times. There are a lot of things you can go without in life, but without mom you just have to grit your teeth and breathe real hard. My brothers and sisters had a rare opportunity to say good-bye to our Mother & Father, – some are not so lucky. If you have not done so lately €“ give your Mom a big hug & let her know how much you love her. – Time goes by faster than you think For the first time in 60 years of my life it will be difficult to face a Mother€™s day without Mom. I comfort myself in knowing that she is with Jesus, and she no longer suffers from all her ailments, but despite it all, my mom€™s faith in God remained unshaken, she believed on the Lord with all her might. Today, I am happy to tell you, my mom is dancing in victory before the Lord. She has fought the good fight and I am sure, that the Lord has said unto her €œWELL DONE, MY GOOD AND FAITHFULL SERVANT, WELL DONE. When I was a young boy there were €œthree words€ mom said in the morning before school, that I€™ll never forget, €œRise & Shine€. Finally, someday I too must pass from this world, just as we all must. By the grace of Almighty God, I enter into His Heavenly Kingdom; I will bear witness to all the saints that went on many years ago, the wonders and majesty of that magnificent kingdom. Somehow, someway, I just know, that I will hear my mom€™s voice say; €œRise and Shine€ and I will turn to her and say ‘Thanks mom, thanks for everything. A very proud Son Richard Hernandez,
