  18. So sorry I missed Floyds memorial due to a scheduled FAA meeting that I now regret for not bowing out of. Floyd has been missed ever since his retirement. His dedication and integrity was unmatched. His soft spoken character and consistant positive attitude was always a pleasure. I always enjoyed Floyds company and was disappointed when he announced his retirement because men of his character, knowledge and experience are very rare today. I shall remember Floyd for being a mentor of many of his peers. May God bless Floyd and his family.

  19. To me, Floyd was one of the role models of QA. Integrity, common sense, fairness and always a gentleman. He understood QA and was a team player, even when he had to disapprove someones work. Although I haven’t seen Floyd for several years, I will always consider him to be a friend. He will always be someone I was privledged to work with and I will never forget his smile, his willingness to help me and his never ending friendliness. Ed Moore Garrett Aviation, 1974 — 2002

  20. Uncle Floyd, you will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. The first thing that comes to mind when someone says Uncle Floyd is the perfect launch ramp you built me when I was a kid. 21. Uncle Floyd: Unbelievable!…..when I think of you, the first word that comes up in my mind is your WISDOM and love of life. Your Experience ( I learned from it), steadfast professionalism, no nonsense, “get er done”. Teaching future wood workers and quality control folks the name of the trade with your experience from day one… Your love for family, Florence first, is second to none. You are a man that everyone would want to be- honest, loving and hard working. What else could anyone ask for for in a human being? God rest your soul. Love-Ted.

  22. My deepest sympathy to the family. I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting Mr. Shaw, but can imagine the man he must have been. I am a friend of his daughter, Debbie. She is a kind and empathetic friend. No doubt the result of her upbringing and his guidance. God Bless.
