Alter, Florian Frank, a 50 year resident of the South Bay, passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2010 in Torrance. Born in Almaskamaras, Hungary, Florian was 73 when he died. Florian had served in the Army with the 3rd Armored Division from 1959 through 1962. His career in commercial construction led, most notably, to the building of The Broadway Plaza and the Tishman Building in Los Angeles, and the Rodeo Collection in Beverly Hills. Florian is survived by wife, Ingeborg Alter, daughter, Andrea Alter-Vestal, granddaughter, Katarina Vestal and brother, Josef Alter. He was preceded in death by his son, Klaus Alter and parents, Teresa and Florian Alter, Sr. The Service will be held at St. James Catholic Church on Monday , July 19, 2010 at 10:00 AM. A private burial will follow at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that charitable donations be made to Operation Homefront.

We are sure he is in a better place and it is a relief for both of you.I was going to come to the funeral but I have an appointment to get a unit of blood for my inemia, and I can’t change the appointment at 10:30.
