Streichman, Florence Wilson Florence passed away on Friday, April 25, 2008. She was born on March 15, 1920 in Troy, New York. She resided in the South Bay area since 1961. She worked as a Home Economics and English teacher at Carson High for 15 years. One of her true loves was to bake, especially cookies to share with everyone in her life. She was an avid bridge player, playing in numerous groups. She graciously picked up non-driving bridge members for many years. Her happiness, joy, zest for life and ever present smile will be missed by her family and friends. Florence was preceded in death by her husband and two sisters. She is survived by her loving children, Carol Streichman Cardenas, Edward Craig (Heidi) Streichman and stepson Samuel (Darlene) Streichman; grandchildren Al, Liana, Justin, Derek, Devin, and Jason; great grandsons Devin and Augie. She is also survived by her two sisters Edna Magyar and Virginia Schroeder, numerous nieces and nephews, and her beloved Jinx. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Casa de los Angelitos, 954 Koleeta Drive, Harbor City, CA 90710, which she contributed to in many ways. Florence will be interred with her husband at Riverside National Cemetery. There will be a Celebration of Florence's Life for family and friends at the club house at 3110 Merrill Drive, Torrance on Saturday, May 3rd at 11:00am.
