Evelyn M. O'Brien

O'Brien, Evelyn Mary a 52 year resident of Torrance , passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2004 in Torrance. Born in Chicago, Illinois on August 8, 1922 Evelyn was 81. She had been married to James O' Brien for 50 years prior to his passing in 2000. Evelyn was a member of Nativity Catholic Church and she was an Eucharistic Minister at the church. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters and CCD. She is survived by sons, Edward (Nancy) O'Brien of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, John (Yvonne) O'Brien of Valencia, CA, Martin O'Brien of San Jose, CA and Mike (Cheryl) O'Brien of Oakley, CA; daughters, Patty (Dave) Wambold of Yorba Linda, CA, Eileen (Jean-Luc) Lopez of Buena Park, CA, Margaret (John Sobaszko) of Livonia, MI and Mary O'Brien of Goleta, CA; along with 11 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 12, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at White and Day's Colonial Chapel, 901 Torrance Blvd. in Redondo Beach with Rosary Servcies beginning at 7:00 PM in the Mortuary Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, February 13, at 10:00 AM at Nativity Catholic Church, 1447 Engracia Avenue in Torrance. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes.
