Evelyn Ellis Denman passed away on November 22nd, 2004, at her home in Redondo Beach, CA. Born May 6th, 1916, Evelyn was 88 years old. A resident of the South Bay for 79 years. Survived by her husband, Floyd Denman, daughter-in-law Rose Ann, two grandchildren, Dana and Steve Cooper, her sisters Geneva Mace and Charlotte Johnson and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Clyde Denny Denman.
Evelyn was a member of numerous churches and married to her husband for 69 years. She was a foster mother for 90 children over the years and worked for the Redondo Unified School District. Evelyn will be most remembered for her love of people, her devotion to her family, a kind heart, an unyielding passion for cooking, and a strong devotion to God.
A memorial will be at The Redondo Beach Salvation Army at 3pm on Sunday, December 5th, 2004. In lieu of flowers the family requests any donations be made to the Redondo Beach Salvation Army Corps.
