  5. My Tia was such a giver, she often had presents for her sisters and others; the best gifts were her wonderful cookies. I will always remember the week I spent with Tia one summer, she spoiled me quite a bit. She dressed me from head to toe in pink; pink knee highs, pink shorts, and pink shirt. I felt very special and everyone knew it as I appeared in my rosy hue. I knew then, I was her favorite! I love you Tia Lina, you will be missed. Al and Danny, may God’s peace be with you and your families. Forever Yours, Vonnie

  6. Tia you are a very special lady and you will always be in our hearts. We will miss you very much but we will see you again in heaven! Its a blessing to know i have another Angel looking over me lots of love. Marlyna & Family

  7. Rest in Peace Tia I will never forget the last day I saw you and the way you made me laugh. Even in your condition you were still able to have a sense of humor which is so important now a days! I always knew Tito was a naughty boy and your “two fingers” was all the verification I needed! I love you and send my love to Tia Lupe, Tio Lolo, grandma and grandpa! Angela, Lyle, Kimo, Maile and Kaile

  8. Thought this poem was fitting for mom’s final journey. Letting Go God saw you getting tired. When a cure was not to be, He closed his arms around you and whispered, “Come to Me”. In tears we saw you sinking. We watched you fade away. Our hearts were almost broken, you fought so hard to stay. But when we saw you sleeping so peacefully free from pain, We could not wish you back to suffer so again. So keep your arms around her Lord, and give her special care. Make up for all she suffered and all that seemed unfair.

  9. Al and family, we send our prayers and thoughts to you at this very sad time. Al’s poem was so very wise and I think the feeling of all of us who have watched a parent suffer and then be released into God’s hands were touched. Love and special hugs.

  10. Lina,My sister how I will miss you,still I can’t believe you’ve left us,but I know you are at a better place,with Lupe,Lolo and our parents.Will love you forever!!

  11. Tia, You’ll always be loved & remembered!!You were truely part of my family, you were thier for holidays & events. Even during this horrific accident, I thought we’d be able to to talk about it & share memories. I’m going to miss your support & LOVE:).We shared many precious moments that will never be forgotten.Go be with Momma…GOD BLESS!!

  12. Lina, esta es La Juera, from my Lord to you. another poem: God looked around His garden, And found an empty place. He then looked down upon the earth, And saw your tierd face. He put His arms around you and Lifted you to rest. God’s garden must be beautiful, He alway takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, He knew that you were in pain. He knew that you would never get well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough, and the hills were hard to climb. So He closed your weary eyelids, And whispered “Peace be thine.” It broke our hearts to lose you, But you did’t go alone, For part of us went with you , The day God called you home.

  13. My dearest, sweetest Lina – My memories of you is when we were all growing up together and, even as a little girl, you had that happiness around you, always singing away and enjoying your days in God’s beautiful world. You always were a “giver” be it a smile, a song, or your help – you never said “NO!” We were always such a close family and I love all my cousins so much. The way you lived your life, I know that God’s Angels will welcome you and lead you to Paradise singing their joy at seeing you coming home to your Mom and Dad, brother & sister. Jesus said, “Come to Me, all you who are heavily burdened and I will give you rest.” Rest in Peace, my beautiful Reyes Evanelina. Al & Danny & families; Reynaldo, Bobby, Veva, Concha, Velia & all your families: my family and I extend our condolences. Our hearts and prayers are with all of you. Oralia (Nana) Gamez

  19. We were so sad to hear of Lina’s accident and suffering afterward. She was a very fine woman and a good friend to all of us in the church at Monrovia. You are for sure proud of your mother, your sister and aunt, and to hear her speak of you all we know she loved you very much. Thank you for sharing her with us during the last years of her life. May God bless you with peace and comfort during this tender time as you remember her and consider her influence on you. Harry and Barbara Terrill

  20. To Lina’s family and friends: It was a pleasure to have met Lina last November. She was so sweet to my mother at church, and I looked forward to getting to know her better myself. In the few weeks we knew her, she showed herself to be a positive and uplifting addition to any group. I am so sorry we did not know of her accident and that we did not have a chance to say goodbye. Our prayers are with you during this difficult time. May the Holy Ghost comfort you as you mourn, yet help you look forward with hope in the living Christ.

  21. Dear Cousin Lina: My thoughts take me back to our times when our families were together and we were growing up. Our two families shared a common, big yard with our two homes located right next to each other; and,of course, we shared many happy childhood times together. I remember especially one day when we were all having such a good time playing that you did not want to take the time to go to the bathroom and finally, when you knew you had maybe waited too long, you started running toward the outhouse that was our bathroom, saying, “Ay, me meo! Ay! me meo!” and just as you got to the door of the outhouse, you stopped short, and said, “Ya me mie!” Yes, Lina, you waited too long! God rest your soul. I love you. Your cousin, Oscar
