In Loving Memory Ito, Eugene C. Eugene was born April 7, 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah and moved to California in 1949. He served in the United States Air Force and graduated from California State University, Long Beach. Gene was a successful businessman in the printing field, owning and operating Del Amo Graphics and later, M&M Book Bindery until his retirement. He loved traveling with his family, playing golf and owning thoroughbred racehorses. After being diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer, he was given 4 months to live. Not one to ever give up without a fight, Gene fought a three-year battle, vowing to see his youngest daughter graduate college and continue to enjoy life. Gene passed away August 6, 2011 at home with his family by his side. Surviving him are his loving wife of 27 years, Cheryl, and his daughters Alison and Amanda, both of whom he was so very proud. Also surviving him is his mother, Hanako Ito, his sisters Helen (Sam) Sunada, Ruth (Hitoshi) Miya, Sherry (Mike) Curwick, and his brothers Jack and Rick Ito. He was preceded in death by his father Takao and his brother Richard Ito. At his request there will be no funeral. An Open House - Celebration of Life for Eugene and his mother-in-law, Virginia "Darlene" Skelly will be held on Sunday, September 25th from 1:00 p.m. at the Ito family's home.
