Ernest C. Chavez

Chavez, Ernest C. a 90 year resident of Redondo Beach passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2004 in Long Beach. Born in Juarez, Mexico, Ernest was 90. Ernest had been a landscaper for many years and had owned and operated a nursery until retirement in May 2003. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and he is survived by daughter, Juanita Gurrero of Long Beach, son, Ernest Jr. (Joann) Chavez of Menifee Valley, CA, daughter, Gloria (Klaus) Radtke of Coos Bay, OR, daughter, Sally (Paul) Garcia of Redondo Beach, daughter, Sylvia (Lorenzo) Mota of Lakewood, and daughter, Rose Marie (Paul) Chavez-Guichard of Redondo Beach; along with 21 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, May 2, from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at White and Day's Colonial Chapel, 901 Torrance Blvd. in Redondo Beach, with Rosary Services beginning at 7:00 P.M. in the Mortuary Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, May 3, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1225 5th Street in Hermosa Beach. Burial will follow with procession to Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City
