Emiliana Tanedo Vda, de Pascual passed away on August 10, 2006 from congestive heart failure after an emergency operation at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Torrance, CA. She originally came from Manila, Philippines and from the province of Tarlac where she was born on January 5, 1916. She was educated in Manila and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Commerce at the Far Eastern University in 1934 where she became one of the first few women accountants in the Philippines. She was married to Dr. Proceso Pascual of Nueva Ecija, Philippines and the union bore six children whom she single-handedly brought up as she was widowed at an early age. She migrated to the United States in 1981 after working with the Supreme Court of the Philippines. She was admired for her loving concern for others and was a very devoted mother to her children as well as a doting grandmother to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She delighted in being with her family, relishing every moment of being with them. It is so easy to talk at length about a lady of character and strength, a lady who filled our lives with love and was finally called by God above. The richness "Mamang" added to our lives like a magnificent work of art always survives. Her life teaches us one most important thing...appreciate the gift of life and always "let your heart sing." She is survived by her loving children; Jovina, Oscar, Josephine, Edgar, Robert, Catherine and children-in-law, Remedios, Isauro, Yolanda and George as well as her loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. Viewing and Memorial services will be on August 17 & 18, 2006 at McCormick Mortuary at 1998 Pacific Coast Highway, Redondo Beach, CA and burial will be on August 19, 2006 at Green Hills Memorial Park at 27501 S. Western Ave., Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.
