Elizabeth "Liz" Margarita Gines passed away at her home of over 50 years in Cypress, California on January 1, 2012. She was born in Lithuania to Michael and Anna Karanauskas. She is preceded in death by her husband Baltazar Gines and her son Stephen Edward Gines. She is survived by her sons, Michael Gines and wife Susie Gines, Cypress, CA and Peter Gines, Cypress, CA; her grandchildren Jennifer Gines, Stephen Michael Gines and Ema Gines; her sisters Anna Grikavicius and Ruthie Karanauskas; and by numerous nieces and nephews that she dearly loved. Liz had many friends; she never met a stranger. She loved her family, friends and every animal she ever saw. Liz was a very kind and generous woman. If someone needed help, she was the first one there. Liz loved music, everything from Elvis to Billie Holiday with a little Janis Joplin and, of course, Tom Jones. She loved to travel, go dancing, play the slot machines in Las Vegas, work in her garden, go fishing and was a very talented artist. Liz had many jobs in her life, but her favorite was owning her own security company at the Anaheim Stadium. She also worked at the Celebrity Lounge and at the Aztec Bowl. She attended Three Crosses Ministry and found her second family there. Liz experienced great joy worshiping the lord. Liz was often referred to as "The Energizer Bunny." She had a zest for life and was always ready for whatever came next. Friends and family were everything to her. Liz will be deeply missed by all who know her, especially her family. We know the she is resting in eternal paradise with our lord.

  3. I’ll never forget all the good times at our house and at the Anaheim Stadium. Liz was such a good friend to me, she helped get my Police uniform, and she was also a good cook. I loved her Lithowanian dessert she made for us! There were so many good and funny times with her,I could write a book! The Lord broke the mold after he created her. I love you Liz! Karl Kamphefner
