Elizabeth June "Betty" Gudath, beloved mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister, Aunt "B" and friend, passed away at the age of 80 on June 25, 2010 at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Torrance. She is survived by her children, Scooter, Corky, Timmy and Jennie Sue; granddaughter, Brieauna; and great-granddaughter, Pashence. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, William L Gudath. Betty was born on June 21, 1930 in Los Angeles to parents, Leo and Clara Sheehan. She grew up in Inglewood, CA and graduated from Leuzinger High School. She was a resident of the city of Hawthorne for over 50 years. Betty worked for McDonnell Douglas and was a longtime noon supervisor and bus driver for the Hawthorne School District. She was also involved in PTA, Junior All-American Football and Rainbow Girls. She loved entertaining and spending time with family and friends, cooking and baking, filled pink pastry boxes, Wednesday beach parties, camping in Mammoth Lakes and visiting family in Tahoe. She was a huge fan of the Dodgers and Lakers. Service will be held on July 3, 11:00 a.m. at Rice Mortuary in Torrance. Reception will follow at the family home in Hawthorne.
