Eleanor at 84 joined her beloved husband Sherman, on Tuesday September 9, 2003. She was born in Flintridge, California in 1919 to Lois and Stuart Salisbury of Ohio. She is survived by her son Bruce Paquette, who resides in Sausalito, California. Eleanor graduated from Flintridge School for Girls and was a member of the Junior League for over 50 years. She was a loving woman to her friends and family, with always a twinkle in the eye, even in the hardest of times. She loved to play bridge and tennis. Yet, her favorite pastime was matchmaking. Out of her many friends, she was responsible for 13 marriages. Life gave much to Eleanor, and she gave much to life. Eleanor's brother Bob went blind due to diabetes. Because of his blindness, Eleanor became very involved with blind young children and dedicated much of her life to that cause. In lieu of flowers, please send dontations to Blind Childrens Center, phone 323-664-2153, and speak with Muriel. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, September 17th at 2:00 PM at the Westwood Presbyterian Church 10822 Wilshire Blvd., one block east of Westwood Blvd. in West Los Angeles (310) 474-4535.
