Eleanor Rose Farber, nee Kramer, born April 21, 1924 in South Bend, Indiana, died August 6, 2009 in Redondo Beach, CA. She lived an exemplary life, as a stenographer to a vice-president of Bendix Aviation at the age of 19. She later edited and typed hundreds of doctorial dissertations for students at colleges and universities throughout southern California while she was raising four children. Unsurpassed as a chef, or a seamstress, she was unbending in her faith. She taught catechism for many years, and studied her Bible daily. She leaves behind her husband of sixty years, Bill; children: Candace, Clarissa, William, James; grandchildren: Denise, Lee Ann, Jeffery, Jonathan, Erin, Tatiana; great-grandchildren: Jacob, Madeline, Andrew, Julia, Paige, Owen, and Torilyn. She will be greatly missed by all of them and her many friends. A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, August 13, 6:00PM to 9:00PM with a Rosary at 7:00PM, at Rice Mortuary, 5310 Torrance Blvd., Torrance, CA. The Funeral Mass will be Friday, August 14 at St. James Church on PCH and Vincent St. at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City, CA.
