Elaine
Elaine J. Kramer, a 58-year resident of the South Bay, went to her Eternal Rest on Saturday, March 3, 2007 in Redondo Beach. Born in Dannebrog, Nebraska, Elaine was 81 when she died. During the war effort, she worked as Executive Secretary to the Base Commander. After her boys were grown, she returned to the workforce to manage the Bluebird Shop in Redondo Beach. Once arriving in the South Bay, she was actively involved with local church, music and women's groups. Always active to better the lives of the people in the community, she was many years President of the PTA for Tulita Elementary, Hillcrest (Parras) Jr. High and Redondo Union High School, volunteering at libraries, hospitals and churches, seemingly tireless. She spent countless hours relaxing in her garden and reading. She was devoted fan of the Dodgers and Lakers, her favorite teams were those of her sons, then grandchildren and finally her great-grand children, rarely missing a game. She is survived by her three sons: Kenneth (Cindy) Kramer of Torrance, CA; Robert (Lynda) Kramer of Buena Park, CA; Jeffrey Kramer of Cathedral City, Ca.; Grandchildren: Ken Jr. (Lorena) Kramer of El Segundo; David (Joanne) Kramer of El Segundo; Karen Kramer of San Diego; Great-Grandchildren Kenneth III, Karina, Christian and Kelly Kramer of El Segundo; Sister, Betty Zalmanek; Sister, Helen (Dayton) Marshall; Brother, Roger Jacobsen; Sister, Marge (Doc) Campbell. She was preceded in death by her Husband of over 50 years David Kramer; Parents, Lars and Pearl Jacobsen. A gathering for family & friends will be held at Rice Mortuary in Torrance on Thursday March 8, 2007 from 4 to 8pm. Burial will take place at Pacific Crest Cemetery in Redondo Beach on Friday March 9 at 10am. The Memorial Service will follow at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 301 Ave. D, Redondo Beach, at 11am.

Please accept these comforting words from the Holy Scriptures: “At John 5:28, 29, Jesus said: ‘Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.’ This means that all the dead in Sheol, our loved ones included, will come back to life. (Acts 24:15) Where will this resurrection occur? Psalm 37:29 states: ‘The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it.’ Think of what that means! Families and friends torn apart by death will again meet here on earth. As you think of enjoying good times with those whose companionship you once treasured, it is reasonable for your heart to swell with happiness.”
