Valdez, Eddie - a 42 year resident of Torrance, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2006 in Torrance. Born in Santa Monica, CA, Eduardo was 42 when he died. He is survived by his wife, Jill Valdez, daughter, Alysia Valdez, son, Emilio Valdez, parents, Jose & Rosa Valdez, brothers, Joel (Cindy), brother, Adrian (Tracey) Valdez, sisters, Patsy Valdez, Celia (Luis) Castro, Dawn (Dave) Blumberg, mother-in-law, Mary Lou McGuire, sister in laws, Jeannine (Joe) Clair, Cheri (Tom) Rievley, Jan (Frank) Escobedo and numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren. A gathering of family & friends will be Friday, October 13, 2006, 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. with Vigil at 3:00 P.M. both at Rice Mortuary in Torrance, CA. The Funeral Mass will be Saturday, October 14, 2006, 10:30 A.M. at St. James Church in Redondo Beach. Committal will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes. The Reception will be Saturday, October 14, 2006, 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Rice Mortuary Lighthouse Reception Room in Torrance.
