Edward John Schmolder

Schmolder, Edward J. Nov 6, 1920 - Sept 14, 2003 Edward J. Schmolder was born and raised in Pennsylvania, the youngest of seven children. He was the beloved husband of the late Rosemary (Plourde) Schmolder and the loving father of seven children; Gregory, Timothy, Michael, Donald, Phillip Schmolder, Arthur Plourde and Alberta (Plourde) Braford. Edward was also a devoted grandfather to Shannon, Philip and Christopher, and a step grandfather to Joshua, Bryan and David. Edward ranked Seaman 1st Class in the US Navy and most recently worked as a machinist for Huck Manufacturing in Carson. He learned his trade at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena and was also employed at Electronic Memories in El Segundo. Edward and Rosemary were active members of St. Lawrence Martyr Catholic Parish. Funeral arrangements for Edward are being handled by White and Day Mortuary at 901 Torrance Blvd., Redondo Beach, CA. 90277, (310) 379-2446. Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 17th from 3:00p.m. - 5:00p.m. and 6:00p.m. - 8:30p.m. Rosary will be recited prior to the funeral Mass beginning at 9:30a.m. with mass following (Approx. 10:00a.m.) on Thursday, September 18th. Burial will be at Riverside National Cemetery on Friday, September 19th.
