Edithe "Eadie" Gall of Torrance, CA passed away at home with family on Wednesday, January 20, 2016.
She was born in New York, NY to Alfred and Edith Outten Azner, and is preceded in death by sisters Grace Daly and Frances Lopresti. In 1954 she moved to CA with her children and husband, Howard Gall, and had lived in the South Bay ever since.
With a keen eye for fashion and a passion for people, Eadie managed men's clothing stores for over 27 years, including Castle Riviera in Redondo Beach. She also co-owned Stuft Pizza in El Segundo for 6 years and proudly served as a volunteer at Torrance Memorial Hospital for 11 years. She made friends everywhere she went and treated everyone like family.
She is survived by her son Frank Gall, daughter Susan (Jack) Leighton, and granddaughters Merrilees (Eric) Leighton-Barber and Lauren Gall.
Services to celebrate Eadie's life will be held at 10am on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Rice Mortuary, 5310 Torrance Blvd., Torrance, CA 90503. After a reception, burial will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Hollywood Hills, 6300 Forest Lawn Dr., Los Angeles, CA 90068.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
