Edith
Rector, Edith O'Connell a 47 year resident of Redondo Beach , passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2002 in Los Angeles. Born in Bella Vista, Peru, Edith was 72 when she died. Edith was a member of St. Lawrence Martyr Catholic Church; Los Verdes Womans Golf Club; American Association of American Woman and was an Alumni of Keuka College. She is survived by Husband, Richard Rector of Redondo Beach, CA, Daughter, Pam Rector of Los Angeles, CA, Granddaughter, Grace Rector of Los Angeles, CA A Memorial Mass will be said, Tuesday, July 9, 2002, 7:00 PM at St. Lawrence Martyr Catholic Church in Redondo Beach. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the following organizations: Polycystic Kidney Foundation, http://www.pkdcure.org/donation.htm, the PKD Foundation, 4901 Main St., Suite 200 Kansas City, MO 64112 or the Sr. Magdalen Kilbane's Oaxaca Mission in care of Holy Spirit Convent, 301 Yucca St., San Antonio TX 78203

  1. Dear Dick, So sorry for the loss of a wonderful person. I knew Eddie back in the 1950\’s and 60\’s as a fellow member of our local AAUW group, Although we never kept up a communication, I still remember what a dear person she was. Sincerely, Mary Lou Thomasson

  5. Eddie, I and Heidi worked at Rolling Hills Plaza for a good number of years. Although we worked in adjoining offices we shared a good number of lunches and good times. Eddie was always so helpful,gracious and kind. I will miss seeing her at our occasional breakfast get togethers. She is following God\’s plan for her as she has always done. May she rest in peace.

  6. Life is eternal, and love is immortal. Our lives are like a tapistry woven by our creator with colors and designs that bring us all together. Dear Edy was a bright thread, a gift to me, a cherished friend, forever with me.

  7. Dick, our thoughts and sympathy are with you, Pam, and Grace. Edy was always the elegant lady with a wonderful sense of style. She was good company and enjoyed life. We have such have great memories of her.

  8. My wife Laurie and I have the fondest memories of Edy\’s visits to the WBMC special events, with Dick. Laurie and Edy would always enjoy sharing their fun times on the Golf course, with each other. We will miss those gatherings with Edy..

  9. Our memories of Edy are happy golfing days. Her cheerfulness, good humor and sportmanship are still an inspiration to all of us. We love, respect and will miss her dreadfully.
