Dorothy Terrell Wright 11-06-1927 to 12-25-2007 Wright, Dorothy Terrell, a 54 year resident of Redondo Beach and Torrance, California, stepped into the arms of the Savior while she slept during Christmas afternoon in Torrance. She was eighty years old. Dorothy was born in Virginia and moved to California on her Honeymoon in 1949. She had a degree in education and taught in the Redondo Beach School District, while establishing a popular pre-school in the area. She taught at a South Bay private school as well. Her involvement in the education of children gave her much enjoyment. In the mid nineties, she became Director of Children's Ministries at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Redondo Beach for the duration of ten years. Dorothy invested her life in the devotion to her family, friends and the ministries of St. Andrew's. She was also an enthusiastic supporter of the Los Angeles Dodgers and The Lakers. Dorothy is survived by her loving husband, David Wright of Redondo Beach, CA; daughter, Margie Wallace of Torrance, CA; son, Mark Wright of San Diego, CA; and son, Richard Wright of Eagle ID; along with fifteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her father, Claude Hopper and her mother, Lucye Hopper. A gathering of family and friends will be held at White and Day Colonial Chapel on Friday, January 4, 2008 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A graveside service will be held at Green Hills Memorial Park on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 9:00 AM. A memorial service will follow at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church at 11:00 AM. A reception will follow at the church hall from 12 noon until 2:00 PM.
