  1. Dear O’Callaghan Family, Sorry to learn of Sr. Leo Francis’ passing! She was great! She had so many stories to tell and a great attitude with them! Frances Martin

  2. My condelences to the Family and the extended Sisterhood of St. Joseph of Carondelet. I was a student of hers at Our Lady Queen of the Angels high school seminary (Class of 1988). Even though she seemed to be 100 years older then the young men she was instructing, her energy and intellect awed us at times. I will always remember her calling us by our surnames in class and participating in the Student/Faculty volleyball games. She was a prominent influence of mine in pursuing chemistry as a career. I was fortunate enough to visit with her in September. It was my final chance to tell her thank you. It was a delightful visit as I was able to coax some laughs out of her especially when I suggested that we try an outdoor activity that day like skydiving. God Bless Sr. Leo Francis. A Lioness among men.

  3. Dear Leo and Barbara: Bill and I have such fond memories of your dear sister. I especially enjoyed her so much when we were schoolmates and sorority sisters at the Mount. She had a wonderful and productive life and will be missed. Please accept our prayers and sincere condolences.

  4. “Dear Sister Leo Francis, I know that you are looking down upon us here on earth with a big, beautiful smile!Thank you for the positive influence you had upon me and many others at OLP high school. I will always remember your wonderful sense of humor, your brilliance, and the way you made everyone feel important. And, by the way, you were my favorite teacher! God bless you.” Kathy Donnelly Rodger

  6. Dear Family of Sister Leo Francis, A warm smile comes to my face when I remember Sr. Leo Francis during my years at St. Mary’s Academy. She was the tall, athletic fun nun who was a good teacher with lots of personality. I am sorry for your loss.

  8. Sister Leo Francis was one of my teachers at St. Mary’s Academy. I remember her as strong in character, patient and loving in nature, and an excellent teacher whom I gained much from. She is with Our Lord – a place we all want to be.

  9. In loving memory of a beloved teacher and lady. You were faster than the speed of light and I’m sure you had at least one extra pair of eyes because you always knew everything that was going on everywhere! You were an enthusiastic teacher, a real role model. Being around you was always fun! Thank you for your years of dedication to your vocation and to all of us who were lucky enough to have been your students. God bless you Sr. Leo Francis. You are one memorable person. Love from an SMA Gold Tie whose life was very much influenced by you.
